Privacy policy
Last reviewed: 9 August 2026. This page is for general information only and is not legal, tax or financial advice.
This policy explains what we do with the limited information we may see when you use UK Finance & Accountancy Tools. The short version: our calculators run entirely in your browser and we do not collect or store anything you type into them.
What we collect
- Calculator inputs. Nothing. Values you enter on a calculator page never leave your device.
- Contact messages. If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message solely to reply to you. We do not add them to a mailing list.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may see standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited in order to serve the site and keep it secure.
Cookies and analytics
We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. The only cookies that may be set are strictly necessary ones (for example, to remember consent preferences or basic site functionality). See the cookie policy for details.
We may use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics in future. Any changes will be reflected in this policy.
How we use your data
- To reply to contact messages.
- To keep the site running securely (via our hosting provider).
- To improve the site, only using aggregated information that cannot identify you.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We only share data with service providers who need it to run the site (such as our hosting provider), and only to the extent needed. We may disclose information if required to do so by law.
Retention
Contact messages are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed to resolve your enquiry, and within 12 months at most. Technical logs are kept in line with our hosting provider's standard retention periods.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected].
